On 28 November 2023, as part of the UNIVERSEH Extended for Ukraine project, Liliia Turovska, a researcher at the Centre for the Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Nanotechnology Lab for Materials Science, Energy and Medicine”, delivered a lecture entitled “God made the bulk – the surface was invented by the devil: reasons for the special properties of nanomaterials” for students from various educational institutions in Poland and Germany. The lecture focused on the peculiarities of nanomaterials, the fundamental changes in the properties of matter when transitioning to the nanoscale and explained the principles behind calculating the placement of a space elevator.
