SPACE_READY was created to enhance opportunities for students and researchers to participate in space activities, particularly analog space missions, by delivering an efficient, tailor-made e-learning course that prepares candidate analog astronauts for their missions. These analog astronauts include various target groups for whom the e-learning course is highly relevant: students and researchers, analog space mission managers, and stakeholders from space sector organizations.
Applicant organization: Akademia Gorniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanislawa Staszica w Krakowie
Partner organizations:
- Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, Ukraine
- Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France
- Createhub, Spółka Z Ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością, Poland
- Poliarte Politecnico delle arti SRL, Italy
Objectives:
We aim to improve access to knowledge about space missions for students by creating a unified methodology and curriculum for space mission education. The final product of our project will be a validated, self-paced e-learning course, tested through pilot programs, that enables the education and certification of university candidates for analog astronaut missions.
Implementation:
First, we will develop a unified methodology and curriculum for space mission education. Second, we will digitalize the curriculum and launch it as an e-learning program. Then, we will validate the e-learning program and implement it for use. The final activities will focus on the sustainable implementation and dissemination of the courses.
Results:
In our project, we plan to achieve the following results:
Result 1: A unified methodology and curriculum for analog space missions.
Result 2: An e-learning course launched on a digital learning platform, enabling a larger number of students and researchers to enhance their skills and prepare for analog space missions.
Result 3: Implementation of the e-learning course by 10 organizations (5 partner organizations and 5 external ones).
Result 4: Completion of pilot testing and a train-the-trainer program.
