On 2 April, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University hosted an Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme. The event brought together representatives of educational institutions, youth organisations, centres, authorities and all those working in the field of youth and international cooperation.
The participants were greeted by Valentyna Yakubiv, First Vice-Rector of the National University of Lviv, who stressed the importance of international cooperation for the development of Ukrainian youth and the expansion of educational opportunities. Svitlana Shytikova, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, followed with a speech. The keynote speech was delivered by Luis Alves, Director of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal. He shared his country’s experience of youth mobility, the specifics of implementing projects in the field of education, and opportunities for Ukrainian youth organisations within Erasmus+.
‘Let’s remember that the lack of partners is not a problem. The problem is the absence of your idea,’ said Kateryna Zhdanova, Lead Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine.
The programme of the event also included:
– Overview of 40 current EU Erasmus+ competitions for Ukrainian participants.
– Discussion of opportunities for cooperation, partnerships and communication of project ideas between Ukraine and Portugal.
– Presentation of European platforms and professional networks in the field of education and youth work.
The event ended with a lively discussion, during which participants were able to exchange views, share ideas for future initiatives and discuss prospects for development.
