Radiation Safety: Physical Aspect_25

On 20 January, as part of the implementation of the project “RadiatIon Safety: European-Ukrainian APproach” (101127143 — RISE-UP — ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), carried out by the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (under the Jean Monnet actions of the EU Erasmus+ programme), another lecture in the series “Radiation Safety: Physical Aspect” was delivered to the students of Dolyna Lyceum No. 1 of Dolyna City Council.

During the event, students learned about the fundamentals of radiation safety, modern approaches to monitoring radiation levels, and methods for minimising radiation risks. The lecture was complemented by practical examples and demonstrations, which enhanced their understanding of the material.

Knowledge of radiation safety is extremely important, especially in the context of modern technological development and under conditions of martial law. It helps foster a conscious attitude towards the environment, contributes to the protection of health, and enhances the ecological awareness of young people.

The event was yet another example of fruitful collaboration between the university and educational institutions in the region within the framework of implementing international projects.
