On the 17th of October, as part of the Sustainable Energy Day, 10th-grade students from Roman Huryk Lyceum No. 23, accompanied by their physics teacher Svitlana Kliuka, and 10th-grade students from Lyceum No. 21, guided by their teacher Mykhailo Stepnov, visited the Department of Materials Science and New Technologies of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
The students had the opportunity to step into the role of real researchers and experimenters, learning how to operate a 3D printer and microscope, exploring the temperature dependence of material properties, and discovering the possibilities of X-ray fluorescence analysis. The highlight of the day was the exciting experiments with liquid nitrogen!!!
A dedicated part of the meeting featured a presentation on the current state of nuclear energy use and its prospects, organized within the framework of the project 101127143 — RISE-UP—ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, under the Jean Monnet module “Radiation Safety: European-UkrainianAPproach.”
