Today, on 31 January 2024, the Department of Materials Science and New Technologies of the Faculty of Physics and Technology held an exciting event called “Magic of Science” in the format of interactive lectures for students in the final grades of Lyceum No. 23 named after Roman Huryk of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Otynia and Lisnyi Khlibychyn lyceums of Otynia Village Council and Sadzhava lyceum of Bohorodchany village council (80 people in total).
The participants of the event had the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of physics and technology, revealing the secrets of physical phenomena and chemical interactions. The students were able to take part in informative experiments and demonstrations, touch the nature of fire, light, and low temperatures, and visit scientific laboratories.
The main objectives of the event are to promote physics and technology among students and to form a positive attitude towards high-tech education. The goal is to encourage and inspire students to study in the field of natural sciences. “Magic of Science” initiative is an integral part of the strategy to inform school graduates about the wide range of opportunities that are currently available to students of the Faculty of Physics and Technology in the educational, scientific and international areas.
