Radiation Safety: Physical Aspects

As part of the implementation of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project “Radiation Safety: European-Ukrainian Approach” (101127143 — RISE-UP — ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science Volodymyra Boichuk delivered a lecture “Radiation Safety: The Physical Aspect” for the 80 students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University.

During the event, special attention was paid to modern methods of protecting the population in the context of potential nuclear threats, which is particularly relevant in wartime conditions. The lecture combined scientific knowledge with practical aspects of radiation safety and emphasized the importance of European experience in shaping a national protection strategy.
Thanks to such educational initiatives, students acquire the necessary knowledge and competences to respond consciously to modern security challenges.
