Workshop on micro- and nanotechnology

On 6-7 May 2025, the Department of Microsystems at the University of Southeast Norway (USN) hosted a Knowledge Exchange Scheme (KES) workshop on micro- and nanotechnology. This workshop is part of the EDUC-WIDE project funded by Horizon Europe.

The event brought together representatives of the University of Jaime I (Spain), the University of Cagliari (Italy), Masaryk University (Czech Republic) and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University (Ukraine) to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of research and development of nanotechnology infrastructure.

During the seminar, Liliia Turovska, a researcher at the Centre for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment ‘Nanotechnology Lab for Materials Science, Energy and Medicine’, presented PNU-NanoLab and the university’s research infrastructure, highlighting its capabilities in the fields of nanomaterials science, energy and biomedical applications. The possibilities of international cooperation and joint research initiatives in the field of nanomaterials synthesis and study were discussed. The participants also visited the modern micro- and nanoresearch laboratories of UNU (NorFab).

This helps to strengthen the university’s integration into the European Research Area (ERA) and supports the internationalisation of our university’s research and innovation ecosystem.
